Holy smokes, take a look at the MotivMfg x Division Road American Vector Bomber in Fox Brothers® Fawn Covert Cloth. It’s like the WWII-era tanker jacket and some other mil-spec bomber jacket had a baby. As with basically every Division Road collab the Virginia-based retailer puts out, it’s a hit, and this is among the nicest pieces of outerwear we’ve seen them put out with the Chinese imprint, MotivMfg, so far.
DR collabs take blueprints from the past and add contemporary tweaks. In this case, a WWII tanker served as inspiration – blended with other flight jackets, to turn it into a more robust and more fitted batten bomber style. The execution is simply gorgeous.
Just take a look at this heavyweight, UK-milled 19 oz. Fox Brothers® Fawn Covert Cloth. You can sell us anything cut from this beautiful fabric. The jacket is crafted in MotivMfg’s Beijing-based factory, fully lined with cotton twill, accented with 100% pure worsted wool, and filled with 100% wool tubular batten fill. I’m getting warm just thinking about these details. The collar, cuffs, and hem are detailed with contrasting olive wool ribbing, and the jacket features cast gunmetal buttons throughout. The jacket features dual large welted and trim-reinforced hand pockets, dual snap-closure interior pockets, felled seams throughout, a storm placket front with zipper and button closure, and a commemorative MotivMfg x DR Brass Pin. Bombs away.
Available for $945 from Division Road.
