New Balance Adds Coco Mocca Colorway 991s to Its Made in UK Line

A brand as big as New Balance doesn’t have to offer shoes made in US/UK-based factories, but it still does — and that’s worth celebrating. The Made in UK NB U991 TB2 Coco Mocca sneakers almost seem designed with our little niche of fashion in mind. They had me at ‘perforated nubuck upper’ but housed on their uber-comfy 991 silhouette, I’m truly sold.

If you’re not familiar with the Made in UK 991, they’re an aesthetic sneaker at this point, but can truly function as your daily driver when it comes to getting around, training, and just about any task you can throw at it while looking good. Heritage running shoes just work in every damn way.

I’ve been wearing NB shoes for years, from the high end to the low end, and these look like a grail pair if I’ve ever seen one. I’ve always admired people who’ve been able to snag a pair of genuine leather UK-made NBs. These are sure to go fast.
