Re-Wax Your Workwear with Otter Wax

Re-waxing is one of those rituals that many of us never actually get ’round to doing. It isn’t difficult and it’s definitely more enjoyable than washing jeans, but it’s just something people put off. But here to remind me to give my old Barbour that new lease of life I’ve been promising it for over half a decade is Otter Wax, with their handy bar of Heavy Duty Fabric Wax.

Unlike Mink Oil, Otter Wax doesn’t contain any Otter. What it does contain is high-quality non-synthetic ingredients like beeswax and natural oils. Otter Wax was actually the first of its kind to not contain paraffin, silicone, or any other petroleum-based synthetic ingredients to create water resistance, and it’s still sticking to that mantra today.

Coming in both small and large sizes depending on your re-waxing project, Otter also offers a Smoothing Tool to help you apply wax accurately to more intricate areas like the edges of patch pockets. If you need to wax or re-wax some tin cloth, duck canvas, or other fabric, hit up the Otter.

Available from Iron & Resin from $12.95.
