We get plenty of jeans in our inbox that remind us of the vintage denim but it’s sort of rare that we get a pair of jeans that make us nostalgic for the raw denim boom of the 2000s. Luckily, Rafdal’s mega faded Iron Heart 666s in 18oz denim are the perfect visual.

Faded down in Indonesia, this decade-long run started with a dedicated 4-year stretch which saw them get pulled on daily. And because our guy knew he owned his jeans and not the other way around, he did not baby them when it came to H2O, giving no hesitation to washes, whenever necessary. Nostalgic for the memories he made in the pair, each hard-earned crease and washed-out section was surely hard fought in the tropical climate Rafdal has to fight through. Now worn only on special occasions, we can’t help but think the high-contrast, symmetrical wear is some of the best we’ve seen, both in the past and present.
