Shoes Like Pottery Dips Into Washington-Grown Indigo with Blue Owl Workshop

Indigo devotees – the fiends that they/we are – tend to pounce at first sight once they find natural-indigo dyed pieces and that’s exactly what happened the first time Shoes Like Pottery and Blue Owl Workshop collaborated on a pair of indigo-dyed shoes. Due to the success of the first run, they decided to have another go at it, and this time around we get the 01JPB in both low and high top versions.

Made in Japan with the artisanal kiln-fired “Ka-ryu” process (hence the name Shoes Like Pottery), the shoes are over-dyed in natural indigo in Seattle, WA, from local Carnation, Washington-grown indigo. The shoes also feature a unique gradient-dyed canvas shoe bag, unique to these pairs, and feature such details familiar to SLP owners as vulcanized construction, a cushioned insole, reinforcement at the heel and toe, textured rubber outsole, brass eyelets. SLP is a great option for those that want a classic sneaker aesthetic with sneaky details that set it apart from the ubiquitous options, and these limited-edition options only set this one further apart from the pack. But hurry, those fiends are snapping them up already!

Available from $235 at Blue Owl Workshop.
