Fade of the Day – Nudie Steady Eddie (1.5 Years, 2 Soaks)

Steady On! This solid pair of Nudie Steady Eddie jeans were submitted to us by Ian Thomas, a denim head from London, England. They’ve only seen weekend warrior wear over a period of one-and-a-half years, but the fades Ian’s managed to work into them earned him a spot in today’s Fade of the Day.

These Nudies are built from a hefty 18 oz. denim, which Ian tells us broke in easily and has inspired him to go even heavier with his next pair of raws! They’ve faded pretty darn well for part-time wear, too, with wide whiskers spanning across the lap and some nice, heavy dye loss on both knees. Flip them over, and we’ve got a hard wallet-fade on the back pocket and some subtle honeycombs to boot.

These jeans have needed some repairs along the way, with the heavy fabric causing strain on the crotch seams resulting in a blow out. But Ian is lucky enough to live a stone’s throw from Nudie’s London store—which offers a stellar repairs service—so he can continue his weekend fading-adventures for the foreseeable future.
