Levi’s Vintage Clothing Triple Pleated 1880 Denim Blouson

It’s not a Type III, nor a Type II. It’s not even a Type I jacket. No, the Triple Pleated 1880 Denim Blouson from Levi’s Vintage Clothing pre-dates all the Types and straddles the line of both shirt and jacket.

In a more historically accurate version this time ’round, this one uses loom state (read shrink-to-fit) 9oz. denim fabric from Cone Mills that has a bright natural indigo hue. It’s wrought with features that will have any 90’s kids reminiscing about the good ol’ factory days. 1890’s kids that is. Hand sewn button placket, triple pleated front with dual riveted patch pockets, back cinch, center back leather patch; it’s all there. Also, for those of you who wash their duds, this one’s cut cross-grain so the shrink-to-fit aspect will mean that this throwback piece will shrink inward.

Available for $400 at Unionmade.
