DJ Viray of California cops the nod for this installment of Fade of the Day with his one-year-old Samurai Jeans 710xx selvedge jeans. It’s impressive to see how much fade he’s been able to get into this 19 oz. Japanese denim.

So far the jeans have received two washes and five soaks, and it looks like he’s been tracking the number of days worn, assuming that’s what the markings on the pocket bags represent. It’s fair to say these jeans have seen some pretty hard knocks in a short time. Some of the dye has completed faded and the pockets are well worn.

Overall a pretty good look with some nice whiskering and honeycombs that seem almost perfectly symmetrical. How much more life is left in these Samurais is yet to be seen though…
