Fade of the Day – A.P.C. New Cure (5 Years, 12 Washes, 5 Soaks)

If you wear any garment for half a decade, you can certainly expect a pretty noticeable change in appearance. Wearing raw denim jeans for this lengthy period of time, however, really does lead to something unique and beautiful. These A.P.C. New Cures have been worn for over 5 years by William Muir of Ohio, and now have all the fades to earn them a spot on Fade Of The Day.

After breaking them in, William wore his jeans daily—with activities including regular cycling and the occasional camping trip. Twelve washes and five soaks have led to heavy dye loss throughout, especially in the lap, which has faded to white. There’s still enough dye for some killer fades to be seen though, in the form of whiskers and stacked-up honeycombs.

Although William has some damage on his A.P.C.s, he’s still rocking them well and it’s nothing a decent repair job couldn’t fix.
