Fade Friday – Skull Jeans 5010XX (4 Years, Unknown Washes)

Grail honeycombs, insane dye-loss, and some gnarly repairs—you can bet it’s Fade Friday! And this week we have an epic pair of Skull Jeans 5010XX’s coming to us from Larry Yang, of Edmonton, Canada, who’s been wearing them for four years. We don’t see Skull Jeans as much as we should in our fade features, but Larry has come through with these bad boys to remind us of the fading potential they have.

Larry wore these jeans consistently for two years, before fitting them into a rotation with other raws. He kept them dry for four months, but has washed them regularly since. And this washing routine has led to a rich ocean-blue cast. As well as a super faded-lap with some nice whiskers, we’ve got some beastly honeycombs that are sure to turn any denim head. And to top it off, there’s some subtle roping on the chain stitched hems.

These jeans aren’t without their battle scars—the crotch has been repaired multiple times and even some of the whiskering near the fly has blown out, but this is all part of the raw denim journey and we don’t think Larry would have these Skulls any other way.
