We see a lot of smooth out vegetable tanned leather in our Fade of the Day features, but for this edition we’ve got a Tagsmith wallet made from roughout leather! Chritopher McMaster from New York has used this wallet every day for over a decade, leaving it steeped in rich patina.

Thanks to the abrasive nature of the roughout leather, Christopher’s wallet has absorbed an extensive amount of indigo dye from raw denim on the outer flesh-side and credit cards have branded themselves into the leather over the years, leaving a defined silhouette of oily indigo.

What’s really nice is how the inside of the wallet still has remnants of the wallet’s original sandy tones, standing in complete contrast to the weathered exterior.
