Haikal Attamimi had two pleasant surprises in store when he bought this pair of Levi’s 505 C Elvis. First, the so-called dark-wash denim was a whole lot more like raw denim than he originally anticipated. Second, sick fades were set to come and help him get an early spot in our Fade of the Day.

Breaking these out every night for six months and weekend motorcycle trips around Indonesia made for natural fades on a solid pair of jeans. The fading at the knee and the honeycombs behind it draw the eye immediately, as does the subtle whiskering in the top block. The rich blues are helped by the fact he’s given these jeans two washes and one soak.

We’re curious to see what these will look like in another year!
