The term MIL-SPEC isn’t one of these new age terms used to make clothes sound good — the military grade fabrics used on this jacket are definitely ready for battle. Coming in a stealthy navy colorway, this jacket’s outer is made from a TexWax™ fabric, which is an 8.25oz. cotton, coated with a perfectly formulated blend of waxes that make it a barrier against all-things-winter. It will develop a lustrous, crinkly patina over time. And, just to take the edge off those cold winter mornings, it’s got a cozy lining made from MIL-SPEC 19oz. melton wool and the inner button-placket and collar are both lined with soft, pincord corduroy.
In addition to being built like a tank, the Isle of Man Parka features four roomy external pockets, one internal pocket, a two-way zipper, nickel-coated snap button closures throughout, and a detachable hood. And to complete the mission, the waist and hood are both adjustable with a (you guessed it) MIL-SPEC paracord. Tango down.
