Fade of the Day – Benzak BDD 707 (1 Year, 1 Wash)

We’re rocking down to Electric Avenue for this edition of Fade of the Day, thanks to this pair of Benzak BDD 707’s, submitted to us by Lannaert Nijgh, from the brand’s homeland of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. After clocking up one year’s worth of effective wear (and recently receiving their first wash), Lannaert’s jeans have developed fades in all the raw denim sweet spots.

These jeans are constructed from 14 oz. raw selvedge denim from Collect Mills, the prolific Japanese mill whose denim is known for its high contrast, electric blue fades—and that’s exactly what we’re seeing here! Stark whiskers that resemble forks of lightning cover the lap, while striking blue tones have begun to emerge in other stress points, such as the seat and front-pockets. We’ve also got some solid dye-loss at the knees, a vivid mobile-phone fade, and a set of epic honeycombs to boot.
