Today’s Fade of the Day is an RRL Double RL Cap worn by Trevor Stoutenburgh of New York, Oregon, and Rhode Island (because everything about this hat is double except the home states, which are triple).

Trevor has worn this cap constantly for the past 3 and a half years, mostly around New York City. The patina itself, however, was developed while Trevor was farming in Oregon this past summer. Trevor won’t tell us exactly what he was farming out there in Oregon, but whatever it was had a sticky (and dank?) resin which transferred to his gear, accounting for much of the discoloration on the hat.

From the patch to the brim there is patina galore. The small rip in the front is indicative of his hard work, reminding us that nothing worth doing is easy, especially fades.
