Fade Friday – Oni 517XX (2 Years, 4 Washes, 1 Soak)

Whatever devilish antics you have planned for the weekend ahead, let Oni and their demonically slubby denim take the lead this Fade Friday.

Heddels reader Abraham Yonky grabbed this pair of Oni 517XX and put them in the tropical fade-oven that is Indonesia. He baked them two years, taking them out for a wash every now and then, and when they were finally cooked just right, he submitted them to us in all their faded glory.

Super slim and super slubby, it comes as no surprise that they’ve developed endless texture and a gnarly wear-pattern full of stark creases. The lap has a perfect balance of dye-loss and whiskering, with nearly-white thighs contrasting with the deeper tones of indigo between the whiskers.
