We have Richard Mui and his  Samurai Jeans to thank for today’s Fade of the Day. Specifically, he is bringing to the table a pair of 17oz. S711VX’s. Try saying that 5 times fast. Actually, how about just once?

Richard lives in Hong Kong and has had these jeans for nearly one year. The kicker? He has worn them literally every single day, rain or shine. And with temperatures reaching 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer, you best believe this is an impressive feat. Remember, 17 ounces!

Richard is a photographer by trade, which might explain why the submission pictures of his jeans are so nice. It doesn’t hurt that the camera loves these jeans! After one wash and one soak, they are still fairly dark overall but have a gorgeous graininess to them. Of course, there are also some hot fading areas. The honeycombs for example,  look to be etched into the very DNA of these jeans. The whiskers are not far behind. Not to mention, the knees are straight up white. End of conversation.
