Oni’s 20oz Secret Denim Jean Jacket in Black Selvedge is made exclusively for NYC retailer Blue In Green and is ready to turn 50s shades of gray. Even though it makes for a great name, Oni’s ‘secret denim’ is seriously created using privately held techniques, but we are able to shed some light on the process of this particular jacket.
With rope dyed warp yarns and black dyed weft yarns, the jacket should give way to high contrast fading that bounces between white, gray, and black. The denim also happens to be low tension, which makes the texture slubby as well as softer than the average raw jean jacket. If all of this isn’t dark enough for you, the jacket also features black coated steel buttons and copper rivets and a black deerskin patch with embossed Oni Mask, a nod to their first patch design.
