Oldblue Co. is bringing back their original denim jacket design from 2016, the Oldblue Work Jacket Type II, and our coverall-craving torsos couldn’t be happier. I won’t rest until I cop sick fades while working in this jacket, and with 18 oz. over-slub selvedge denim, it’ll practically fade by itself.
If you’ve been asking Oldblue when this style would return, don’t sleep on this re-release. The denim was milled exclusivley for Oldblue by Thailand’s Atlantic Mills, with short-staple super slub yarns that give the fabric a uniwue rough texture. The design itself is functional yet refined, with roomy side pockets, two front pockets, and nifty shoulder gussets for extra arm-swinging range. This extra shoulder room is balanced by a cinch back that allows you to taper the jacket in at the waist.
A classic double pleated front design nods to the early Levi’s trucker jackets, while copper rivets, metal buttons, and a custom-made piece of copper hardware for the back cinch reinforce this piece in style.
