Oak Street Bootmakers Crafts a Limited Edition Field Boot From ‘Stampede’ Roughout

Chicago based boot connoisseurs Oak Street Bootmakers have been making ’em like they used to since 2010, with a range of fully handsewn, stitchdown and Goodyear welted footwear which is entirely crafted in the USA. Taking on a range of classic silhouettes and styles, Oak Street has become renowned as one of America’s finest footwear manufacturers in recent years, providing those who desire a heritage-inspired pair of shoes or boots which fit perfectly into the modern man’s wardrobe.

In this case, Oak Street has brought a rough and rugged Field Boot into the mix, which vows to be the ideal companion for this fall’s inclement weather. Made from a Siedel black walnut stampede roughout leather, the Field Boot features Goodyear Welt construction, a black Commando sole, hand-burnished toe and heel, calfskin vamp lining, and antique brass eyelets.

With a partially structured toe box and stacked leather heel elevating the silhouette, these are going to be pretty versatile. Built on the Elston last which is crafted for the brand’s Everyday Boots, the Field Boot is going to look just as comfortable on a hiking trail as it will downtown. The stampede leather may look rugged but it’s remarkably light and comfortable, as it is ‘hot stuffed’ with unrefined oils and greases which exhibits good water resistance and unique pull-up.
