Kuala Kumpur-based barista and coffee-roaster, Alex, has been brewing his Studio D’Artisan jeans for nearly a year and a half, steeping them 4 times in the process. Committed to both coffee and fades, Alex wears his jeans to work every single day, resulting in some robusta denim evolution.

These Japan-made jeans have developed crotch fades bleeding into whiskers, and stretching right down to the knees. Amongst all the commotion, the inner thigh lines are the most impressive – super long and distinct. Flip them over and there’s some espresso injected honeycombs which will be with these jeans for life, unlike that short-lived morning caffeine high. Some people argue that coffee is the secret to health and prosperity, but is it also the key to good fades?
