Okayama Denim Teams Up With Studio D’Artisan For 18 oz. ‘Panther’ Selvedge Jeans

Collabs have become a pillar of the raw denim scene, and we’d be lying if we said we didn’t enjoy the exclusivity, novelty, and innovation bred by collaborations between denim’s finest brands.

Okayama Denim and Studio D’Artisan have teamed up to release a new jean that pays homage to one of the rarest big cats, the Black Panther. Like the pelt of this famous animal, this denim might appear to be black at first glance, but when examined closely, reveals a deep blue hue. The 18 oz. unsanforized fabric has a rope-dyed indigo warp and a rope-dyed black weft, which begins super dark, but will eventually fade into inky blue-black with time.

The collab jeans come in a relaxed-tapered fit and feature a slew of unique details like souvenir jacket rayon lining in the back pockets, a pony hair waist patch, and raised belt loops. With a comfortable relax tapered fit, 100% American cotton denim, and plenty of unique details — this is a unique and stealthy collab that will warrant a place in your extensive collection.
