Mister Freedom’s Campus Jacket Is As Good As Its Always Been

A leather jacket to carry you through life. A second skin you feel lost without. Being know as “that leather jacket guy”. That’s all any of us really want in life, isn’t it? Luckily, since 2013, Mister Freedom has been dealing us our fix of classic Americana, distilled and filtered down to its purest form: the Campus Leather Jacket.

Based on the Cossack Jacket, an iconic 1930s leather sport coat infamously worn by Albert Einstein, MFs Campus jacket is a timeless piece. Modeled in the 30s style without looking too period-piece, the Campus Jacket is cut at the hip for instant vintage-cool and crammed with details that all compliment each other. Corozo catseye buttons backed by NOS 1920’s glass buttons because what are zippers, slash pockets with arrow stops because anything else would be too much, side gussets with adjustable straps for the change in seasons, layers, and diets throughout the decades. All this is wrapped up with that short shawl color that just makes sense.

The Cossack jacket is a classic pattern, but the leathers deployed here are unique to Mister Freedom. You’ve got a choice of thick-cut natural veg-tan or blackish teacore leathers, both of which come unlined meaning there is nothing that will break down on this jacket and nothing to worry about except how great it’s going to look when its full of patina in 10 years. So, whether you rock it every day or just keep it for those special occasions,  here is a rare example of a leather jacket that can’t be messed up, isn’t fussy, and gives major ‘going to pass this down for generations’ vibes.
