Unbranded? Yes. Un-faded? Hell no. The Unbranded Brand has delivered numerous Fade of the Day and Fade Fridays over the years, but this submission from Bradley over in Boone, NC, is certainly the fastest and most intense pair to date.
Bradley is proud of carving this amount of denim evolution into the fibers of these Unbranded UB201s in just 8 months. How did he do it? Downhill skateboarding. C’mon, it had to be something intense, right?
Unbranded Brad tells us that the honeycombs and whiskers on these jeans came thick and fast due to the amount of activity whilst on his skateboard. Turns out he took some pretty nasty spills, too:
“A couple of hard crashes contributed to the patina as well, especially on the left knee and right rear pocket.I lost the right rear pocket in a particularly harrowing crash. Riding a set of wheels that were too slippery for road conditions, I found myself losing grip while navigating a tight corner. As I drifted towards the oncoming lane of traffic, I had to drag some denim to keep from tangling with an SUV.”
Gone but not forgotten, Brad adroned the seat above the lost rear righ pocket with an X-pattern stitch, a subtle nod to the Amsterdam flag. Brad’s a fan of both the country and it’s X-laden flag, and it turned out to be a really neat way to add more charcter to these jeans
