Our Picks from Division Road’s SS23 + Archive Sale

Psst, over here. Yes, you, the one with the good taste in reading material. Our friends over at Division Road are having an archive sale. But let me warn you, dear friends, this is not your average rummage sale. Division Road’s archive sale is the heritage menswear Olympics, where only the strongest and most stylish survive.

This is your opportunity to pick up some long-term sartorial investments for up to 60% off; a rarity in the world of heritage menswear. To help you narrow down the numerous tabs you’ll have open, here are our picks.

National Athletic Goods Pullover Parka Sweatshirt – Sport Grey

Our-Picks-from-Division-Road's-SS23-+-Archive-Sale-I’m-a-simple-man-and-self-proclaimed-sportswear-fiend,-so-when-I-see-sportswear,-especially-‘made-in-Canada’-sportswear,-I-click.

I’m a simple man and self-proclaimed sportswear fiend, so when I see sportswear, especially ‘made in Canada’ sportswear, I click.

Inspired by sportswear donned in the ‘40s, National Athletic Goods’ Pullover Parka sweat is expertly crafted from medium-weight 9 oz. Japanese loopback terry fleece designed for year-round use. The hoodie — which features set-in sleeves, a rib bound and lined hood, patch front bound pocket, flat-locked seams, and contrast long rib hem and cuffs —comes in this beautiful salt and pepper-esque grey mélange colorway, which has been achieved through ‘mock twisting’. In short, it’s a fabric construction technique that creates a unique and visually textured effect in the yarn. It involves twisting together two or more different colored fibers or yarns to create a marled or heathered appearance. Delicious.

Private White V.C. Archive Ventile® Harrington – Charcoal

Our-Picks-from-Division-Road's-SS23-+-Archive-Sale-Private-White-V.C.-Archive-Ventile-Harrington---Charcoal

Exclusive to Division Road, this Private White V.C. x Division Road Ventile® Harrington is an absolute doozy.

This fully-lined British classic has been made from 100% cotton Ventile®, a fabric steeped in heroism and endurance. In the face of wartime adversity, Ventile® emerged as a testament to British ingenuity and fortitude. The cotton oxford cloth, renowned for its dense weave and inherent waterproof qualities, is largely a result of its meticulous production process. Every thread is intricately woven to create a fabric that not only looks and feels great but also ensures exceptional resistance against the elements.

Fabric aside, the jacket comes laden with features including set-in front and raglan back sleeves, a dual-snap corduroy-trimmed collar, snap flap pockets, two internal pockets with zip and button closures, hidden ribbed cuffs and hem, copper tape-bonded internal seams for added water-proofing, copper snaps, a two-way copper military grade RiRi zipper, and a Union Jack flag on the tag. Made in England, chaps.

This jacket is unlikely to come around again, so if you’re in the market for a lightweight, weather-resistant jacket that can be dressed up or down — forever — this might just be it.

Studio D’Artisan D1815 – WW1 jean

our-picks-from-division-roads-ss23-archive-sale-we-love-a-military-repro-here-at-heddels-but-we-love-them-even-more-when-theyre-40-off

We love a military repro here at Heddels, but we love them even more when they’re 40% off.

Studio D’Artisan’s D1815 WW1 jean is a truly special collection piece. Designed in a tapered slim fit with a medium rise, these jeans offer a modern interpretation of 1910s industrial workwear. Crafted from 14 oz. Japanese selvedge denim produced on traditional power looms, these jeans feature a zinc-plated copper button fly, hand-finished buttons and rivets, military canvas and herringbone twill pocket bags, mix-matched suspender buttons, a removed cinch back, exposed back pocket rivets, embossed leather patch, a chain stitched waistband, yoke and hem with run-off, and rolled and tucked belt loops. And breathe

The Zimbabwe cotton used to make these jeans is unique, too. The cotton fibers, naturally rich in oil content, exhibit an antiqued tan hue beneath the indigo rope-dyed warp. A beige pigment garment wash has further enhanced the brown undertone, lending an aged aesthetic that develops unique wear patterns over time.
