Soar Into Spring with Fujito’s Flight Jacket

MA-1 repros are a dime a dozen, but what if you want something with a point of difference? Fujito‘s Flight Jacket takes the USAF classic but updates it to their modern tastes to create a flight jacket with that touch of Japanese panache.

The bulk of the MA-1 blueprint is here with the dual hip pockets, zip closure, and knitted collar, but Fujito has opened up the fit to offer a boxier flight jacket with a slouchier vibe. The orange lining of the OG has been swapped for a chilled olive which still fits the military theme, and the box tab on the left of the chest is cut from a scrap of the same knitted material used on the collar and cuffs, instead of the traditional some cotton twill tape.

It’s not style over substance, though. Fujito’s Flight Jacket is made in Japan from a 100% nylon fabric with a nice sheen and a water-repellent finish, and the inside is stuffed with padding for heat retention and comfort — perfect for those mild spring mornings with a bit of a chill in the wind.
