Fade of the Day – A.P.C. Petit Standard (22 Months, 2 Washes, 2 Soaks)

Wearing raw denim jeans everyday doesn’t come without its problems, and the infamous crotch blowout is one of biggest. However, Alex Sepe of Canada took on a DIY attitude with this pair of A.P.C. Petit Standards, repairing his own crotch blowout and even tapering them himself. He’s also been wearing them for a little under two years now, earning him today’s Fade Of The Day.

Alex tells us these jeans have seen a lot of wear, from riding the subway to getting drunk on weekends. The lap has pretty much faded to white, but contrasting whiskers and creasing can be seen right down to the knees. Well-worn A.P.C’s never fail to produce some killer honeycombs, and this pair is no exception.

We certainly wouldn’t have the guts to repair or modify our favorite pair of raws, so hats off to Alex for taking the initiative and making sure he can carry on beating up these A.P.C.s.
