Needles’ Latest Rebuild is a Leather Jean Jacket

Despite being a promising middle school baseball player, future designer of Needles, Keizo Shimizu turned down all the offers from high school scouts so he wouldn’t have to shave his head. Shimizu may have sacrificed his athletic career, but he also affirmed a lifelong devotion to looking good.

Value for individualism and attention to detail are a staple of Shimizu’s work at Needles and the Leather Jean Jacket is no exception. Cut like a classic Type III denim jacket, but made of a patchwork of different leathers, this piece pays homage to American workwear while still taking creative license. And with all that different leather there will definitely be some very interesting patinas.

With a classic silhouette that refuses to follow the rules, you’ll really want the Leather Jean Jacket on your team. As long as your team doesn’t play baseball.

Available for $2,145 at Bodega.
