Fade Friday – Wingman Denim Loomstate (~2.5 Years, 3 Washes, 2 Soaks)

Riki Saputra from the world’s leading fade incubator, Jakarta, Indonesia, has a pair of Wingman Loomstate jeans that need to be this week’s Fade Friday. We just didn’t have a choice. He forced our hand with these Nevada mine-shaft-looking monsters.

Worn daily for the past two and a half years and put through a combined five soaks and washes, Riki’s jeans have not only achieved vicious fades but beautiful dirty yellow hues. Its as if their is a tint casted over the entire pair. In terms of creases, these jeans have it all. The whiskers do this cool thing where they start strong near the pockets and eventually mellow out into the faded out thighs. The mood is still chill all the way down to the knees in which point, things get quite exciting with some truly defined knee lines. After flipping this sizzling jean patty over, you will see a heavily worn seat and some of the most concentrated honeycombs every conceived. Riki be careful because some bees might try to set up shop behind your knees!

If all of this wasn’t enough, one thing you really have to respect is that Riki is seeing how far these jeans will take him. Although there seems to be some sort of blow out near the seat, he is just letting it be. The result is authentic decomposition, in a way. It is a path less taken but one we appreciate all the same.
