Hear No Evil with PAA’s Ear Flap Cap

Functional headwear gets a bad rap. Like sure, there are definitely dangers associated with the genre—see:  Gilligan, Dude Who Wears a Tank Top-Beanie Combo, and Feivel Mousekewitz*—but useful hats take heat for being gimmicky or precious or wild when they’re mostly just doing a job.

You know what’s not a gimmick though? Warm ears. You know what this Ear Flap Cap from PAA does? Keeps your ears warm.

(*Fievel can be argued either way and I’m open to both. Maybe just appreciate him, however, and don’t try to emulate that swag. Think Harry Styles, but the Gilded Age’s cartoon rodent version. Anyways, I’m insane.)

Made in the USA with a heavy 100% melton wool fabric, this five-panel hitter features a short pliable brim, a wraparound earflap and an adjustable drawstring at the back for fit. In other words, it’s the winter cap your baseball cap wished it was.

So yes, I’m fully aware that earflaps can look kind of goofy, but so do people that are wildly uncomfortable due to an aesthetic issue with functional hats (which, again, aren’t that wild). Save your ears, buy this hat.
