Japanese denim enthusiasts Jelado are arguably one of the smaller labels to sit amongst the indigo soaked sub-culture, but that doesn’t mean they don’t pack a punch. Having become known for their vintage-inspired finishing and contemporary twist on bonafide heritage classics, they’re one of the brands that ‘if you know, you know’.
For SS20 they’ve kept up its vintage momentum and offered one of the best pre-washed jeans we’ve ever come across. Not for the faint-hearted or fan of subtle wear, Jelado has gone all out with heavy repairs and wear patterns of the 44 Denim Vintage Finish Jean.
Coming in a classic 1940’s wartime silhouette, the 44 Jean features laurel wreath buttons, OD pocket bags, and unbranded rivets. But the real star of the show is the attention to detail and recreation of heavy wear and repairs. Darning and patching techniques feature throughout as well as natural fading to the thigh and seat area. We have a feeling the photos don’t even do them justice.
