Fade Friday – The Strike Gold SG-3015 (7.5 Years, Unknown Washes & 1 Soak)

McClain over in Colorado struck gold when he copped his The Strike Gold SG-3105s. He’s worn for over 7.5 years, and while there are some substantial fades, here, one could argue these TSGs are only just getting started.

Using the simple mantra of “wearing until they stink, then treating ’em to a wash”, this guy has it down. Not overthinking any part of the equation here, especially the wear part, McClain’s been rewarded with really cool-looking jeans. Well, they already looked cool to start with, but now they’re cooler because of all the stuff he did whilst wearin’ them. However, we can only speculate exactly what since he kept his movements under wraps, other than that he has a little sprog to run around after, which will give any jean a run for their money.

Overall, the jeans have great dramatic color with a great balance of shadowy edges and bright points of wear. For example, whiskery knees, fish tank reflection ankles, and a sunrise seat which also happens to be the most distressed with the pockets frayed and falling apart just like we like to see. Shout out to the backs of the heels, too, which have completely disintegrated due to no cuffing.

Thanks for the submission, McClain, and we hope you keep these going strong because it looks like you missed a few spots.
