Some people get gym memberships and library cards. Others get language learning apps. But for a new years resolution, wouldn’t you rather just wear a cool pair of jeans every day? We’re just a few weeks into the new year but that didn’t stop Shane from sharing a wild pair of Evisu jeans to get us back into the rhythm.
Copped at the source on his very first trip to Japan, these jeans have been worn for over 10 years, undergoing a remarkably low 3 washes, but a ton of soaks. Worn well whilst traveling throughout Asia but also during art school, these jeans have seen duller days, as the wear that our Canadian friend has put in over the last decade has really awakened the look of the jeans. Seasoned to the perfect ‘honest days work’ look, the whiskering, honeycombs, and catch your attention but don’t scream ‘look at me’ (an important distinction) while the fading is just the perfect gradient of blue, thanks to Evisu’s signature raw selvedge denim.
And you have to admit, those love-them-or-hate-them arcuates look great over the well-worn seat. Not to mention the slew of repairs that add have added heaps of character and life to the jeans over the years.
