PBJ’s ‘Boro-Style’ Shirts are Simply Stunning

The Pure Blue Japan 9oz. BORO Style Jacquard Western and Oxford Shirts are some of the craziest shirts we’ve ever seen, bar none. PBJ is an iconic Japanese denim brand, making some of the nicest, most textured jeans out there right now. There have always been some unique shirting options in their lineup, but none stand out as much as these two new options made from 100% cotton indigo and sulfur-dyed yarns, woven to emulate the look of a boro-laden fabric. Can you imagine the aging/fading potential of these?

The Jacquard Western Shirt is an exaggerated slim-fitting Western-style shirt silhouette, for those who prefer fun and ‘fancier’ shirting options in general, this one’s for you. It features Western-style yokes, dual flap-closure chest pockets, stone snap buttons, single needle stitching, gusseted side seams, and PBJ leaf embroidery.

The Jacquard Oxford Shirt isn’t like other oxfords, no. You won’t find this hanging up in Dad’s closet (until you gift it to him, if he’s a denim dad). It’s a tad more low-key than the Western style, thanks to its simple and low profile single chest pocket, but it’s still crazier than 90% of shirts worn by denim heads. Detailed with urea buttons, single needle stitching, chain stitching, bar tack reinforcements, adjustable cuffs, and PBJ leaf embroidery, it’s the simpler of this dynamic duo, but in the best way possible/
