Color #8 chromexcel from Horween is a notoriously beautiful leather. It’s a red-leaning burgundy, with some nice wide variation in depth (depending on the angle and lighting that you’re viewing it). You kind of need to see the leather in person to understand its magical beauty – consider pre-ordering a shoe that lasts forever from this forever beautiful leather before it’s too late!
The first shoe that’s available to pre-order is the Ottawa Boot, a moc-toe service boot style that’s highly versatile and highly functional. You can wear it dressed up, dressed down, and down to nothing. The second shoe in question is the Longwing, a brogue shoe style. AKA a fancier Oxford. Decoratively punched leather is kinda fancy, isn’t it? Just because they’re brogues doesn’t mean you can’t wear them with jeans and a hoodie (hint: they look *really* cool when worn casually).
Both silhouettes are made on Xiamen Island, China, and come with brass hardware, contrasting round laces, contrast stitching, kip leather lining, a cork-filled sole, a steel shank, and a leather insole.
