Jelado’s Latest Workshirt is Inspired by Vintage Workwear Brand, Oxhide

Workwear meets 1950s summer style with the Jelado S/S Mechanic Shirt. Coming in an aromatic Cinnamon colorway full of speckled texture delicious enough to bake into a pie, the Mechanic Shirt has plenty of tools up its short sleeve.

Featuring the open collar and relaxed fit which you’d see on a classic camp shirt but with a long list of workwear utility details including a curved hem, side gussets, cat eye buttons, chest pockets, and of course, that dreamy workwear fabric which is tough as nails and able to reduce the appearance of stains (the original thinking behind salt & pepper fabrics).

Although described as being based on an old Penny’s Oxhide shirt (which is neat to think that they were making short sleeve work shirt/casual shirt hybrids back in the day), the reproduction tag is 30s-40s Hercules (From Sears & Roebucks) all the way. Whatever the case, this shirt is a home run and will have you forgetting how to roll up your sleeves.

Available for $200 from Clutch Cafe.
