Founded in 1997 in Osaka by Toru Nogami, Samurai has legendary status amongst selvedge enthusiasts the world over. Initially starting out by offering their own interpretation of the iconic 501 in a 15 oz. denim, Samurai then went on to experiment with heavier-weight fabrics and carved its own name in the raw denim scene. In addition, great consideration is given to the makeup of the fabric, cotton sourcing, yarn composition, dyeing techniques, and of course, traditional vintage machinery.
