Redcast Heritage Welcomes Samurai Jeans To Its Collection

While Madrid may not strike you as a denim destination, Isabel and Eduardo from Redcast Heritage Co. have put the Spanish city on the indigo-inked map. Since its inception, Redcast has become an online mecca for high-quality denim. With a focus on traditional craftsmanship and high-quality production, the couple has enlisted the best Japanese denim brands to their roster. And they’ve just added another heavy hitter; enter Samurai Jeans.

Founded in 1997 in Osaka by Toru Nogami, Samurai has legendary status amongst selvedge enthusiasts the world over. Initially starting out by offering their own interpretation of the iconic 501 in a 15 oz. denim, Samurai then went on to experiment with heavier-weight fabrics and carved its own name in the raw denim scene. Their 510, 710, and 500 silhouettes are staples among Japanese denim heads and you only have to visit our fades section to see how Samurai jeans age.

In addition, great consideration is given to the makeup of the fabric, cotton sourcing, yarn composition, dyeing techniques, and of course, traditional vintage machinery. Today, Samurai continues down the path that they have created but is sympathetic of the contemporary by introducing new silhouettes, tweaking existing cuts, and applying great attention to detail to all aspects of their jeans.
