Camo Pants – Five Plus One

Five Plus One is our weekly series of buyer’s guides. We pick a specific category and dig up five great options along with one that’s a little outside the norm.

Whether you’re looking to stand out or blend in you can’t go wrong with camo pants. It’s a subject we’ve covered many times before, but the items on those lists have long since sold out. While we’re probably not going to change your mind if you’re not a fan of camo, we hope this list shows you some of the best the world of camo has to offer.

1) RRL: Camo Ripstop Cargo Pant ‘Woodland Camo’

Camo-Pants---Five-Plus-One 1) RRL: Camo Ripstop Cargo Pant 'Woodland Camo'

If you’re looking for a classic, no-nonsense pair of camo pants you can’t go wrong with these RRL Camo Ripstop Cargo Pants. They’re made of 100% cotton ripstop fabric and have all the details you’d expect to find on a pair of top-quality camo pants: reinforced seat, drawstring ankles, cinch waistband, and pockets galore.

Available for $290 from Hatchet Supply Co. ($246.50 for Heddels+ members)

2) Pherrow’s: PUPT1 Utility Fatigue Pant Camo

Pherrow’s isn’t one of the most well-known brands in the state, but their heritage-inspired garb is slowly making its way into more wardrobes thanks to more stockists recognizing the brand’s prowess for making fantastic clothing. Their PUPt1 Utility Fatigue Pant features a 100% cotton duck camo herringbone fabric and the iconic large patch pockets of fatigue pants. Designed to fade with wear, these pants are perfect for any denimhead looking to add just a bit of camo variety to their rotation.

Available for $175 from Clutch Cafe ($157.50 for Heddels+ members)

3) Nine Lives: 9LU Cargos – Tiger Camo

A nice pair of camo pants without giving up selvedge? Nine Lives‘9LU Cargos is a solid option. They’re another pair of fatigue camos, this time featuring a selvedge tiger camo fabric, and featuring cargo pockets, darted knees, and gusseted crotch for improved movement and comfort.

Available for $320 from Nine Lives

4) Stan Ray: Woodland Camo Fatigue Pants Original Fit

We wouldn’t reccomend breaking the bank when trying a new style, so if you’re new to camo maybe consider something affordable yet solid like Stan Rays Woodland Camo Fatigue Pants. They’re made in the USA from 100% cotton 8 oz. ripstop fabric with a woodland camo pattern, and have all the details you’d expect from such a pair: flapped back pockets, fatigue-style front pockets, and a classic, straight fit.

Available for $60 from Heddels Shop ($48 for Heddels+ members)

5) Shockoe Atelier: Fatigue Trouser – 9Oz. Tiger Stripe Camo Twill – Desert

Shockoe Atelier has a way of making camo pants seem more refined than those from other brands. The combination of the lighter colorway and slimmer fit of their Fatigue Trousers makes these 9 oz. Tiger Camo Fatigues much easier to work into previously camo-free wardrobes, and the finishing details are phenomenal: herringbone twill pocket bags, veg-tan waist patch, urea buttons, and pocket-reinforcing rivets.

Available for $235 from Division Road

Plus One – Dr. Collectors: P55 Camo Docker Ripstop & Sateen Army

Dr. Collectors constantly releases interesting garments, so it should surprise no one that they have a great pair of camo pants that are straight outta left field. The P55 Cmo Docker Ripstop and Sateen Army pants feature a baggy fit with large patch back pockets, frayed rope drawstring, slash front pockets, and an olive sateen panel on the front of the legs. While definitely not the kind of pants you’ll find yourself reaching for every day, they’re unique enough to justify placement in any camo fan’s wardrobe.
