Viberg Italian Horsebutt Engineer Boots

So I’m going to paraphrase my middle-school sex-ed teacher here:  these Viberg’s have a funny name, so let’s just get the giggles out and all say it together… horsebutt.

Yep, these engineer boots are made of genuine Italian horsebutt. That may or may not be the deciding factor for you here, and you may or may not want to share that detail with others, but thankfully, these boots have a lot more going for them, so you don’t have rely on that tidbit alone when someone asks about these bad boys. And someone most certainly will ask about them.

They’re made with a goodyear welted sole that also happens to utilize the slip resistant catspaw sole—which we have detailed in full here—which, in short, means you won’t be slipping any time soon. And it also means that one the coolest features might also be the most stealthy.

Taking some creative license on a classic engineer boot, Viberg shortened the height, deepened the side gusset, and used the sleeker, more elegantly shaped 2050 chelsea last. And end result is a much more graceful take on the classic silhouette. But even with all those details, is it giggle proof?

Available for $780 at Viberg.
